I worked with local printing company Chromoco to bring a sampling of prints to my shop and future events. There are five new prints available now. They’re 5 x 7” with a black mat bringing the outer dimensions to 8 x 10”, which is an easy to frame yourself size. Please stop by and check them out. They come wrapped in a clear bag.
Be a Knight…
Threadless is hosting a design competition for TLC for National Bullying Prevention Month. I wanted to show acceptance and love in a way that a child would understand. In a lot of stories, the dragon is a bully toward the villagers and they send in a Knight to slay him, but what if that dragon, like many bullies, was just hurting for some love. In this case, the Knight surprises the dragon with love in the form of a hug. I hope this design encourages kids to be a Knight that’s kind and loving.
If you would like to vote for the design, please visit this link. You may be required to join the Threadless Community.
I have had a couple people ask when the shirt will be for sale. If the design is not chosen for the contest, it will be available in my Artist Shop on Threadless. Sometimes the judging takes awhile so it may be a couple months.

Portrait Commission
This is the final portrait commission I’d been working on. It was painted from reference photos, provided by the commissioner, using Procreate.
I use the same process for acrylic or digital paintings. I do a detailed drawing and value study first. Then, I paint in the base colors and work from thin to thick.

Quick Tips For Drawing Hands
I’ve been working on a digital portrait commission that includes some hand drawing. It made me think a quick tip tutorial may be helpful to anyone who struggles with drawing hands. If you like this and would like to see more, or if you would like to know how to draw something specific, please let me know and I may do a tutorial or tip sheet on it in the future.

New SUP Acrylic Painting
I believe this one is done for now. It’s 7 x 5” acrylic painting on a cradled wood panel. I still have to apply a varnish. I find it’s easier to photo paintings before the varnish is applied. I’ll be taking some nicer photos of this one when the weather clears up outside. Hope you enjoy the colors and how they play on the water as much as I did.
