ARTISTS BIOGRAPHY
Michelle Wynn was born in Chicago, Il but spent the majority of her life between Streamwood, Il and Ontario, CA. After receiving her Associate in Arts Degree, she joined the US Army and was assigned overseas. She made the most of her 4 years of Active Duty by visiting Germany, England, Austria, Luxembourg, France and Italy. In 1996, she was Honorably Discharged and returned to college to complete her BFA in traditional illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. It was there that she truly honed her artistic technique.
A few months after graduating, Michelle took a new step in life as she married her Army sweetheart. With him remaining on active duty, they have since moved to various bases across the country as his assignments changed. Despite the nomadic nature of her life, she has continuously striven to explore and improve her art, often taking odd jobs to support her artistic endeavors. Most recently, she has worked as a graphic designer for a prominent local screen-printer in Columbia, SC while accepting commissions and freelance illustration work in her spare time.
Among her professional achievements, she has been published in CMYK magazine and has two children's books soon to be in print, has created artwork for local Clear Channel Radio Stations to be used in The State Newspaper and their promotional Hummer H2, has created art for motorcycle events such as the Freedom Ride, and has had art displayed in various group and solo shows; most recently at Pastels Art Cafe in downtown Augusta, GA and at the Kalmanson Gallery in Swainsboro, GA as part of the Art of the Moto Exhibit. Her work was also on display for a year at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, NC. Michelle is an avid motorcyclist who not only paints motorcycles but thoroughly enjoys riding her own. She obtained her motorcycle license a few years ago, caught the "riding bug" and has been riding ever since.
Currently, Michelle and her husband reside in the Augusta, Georgia area.
